Members of the Al Manar Parental Care Society, visited the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company on 7 November 2018.

   

The visit was part of the Company’s keenness to strengthen social ties with all clubs as well as professional, civil and charitable institutions and to showcase its state-of-the-art facilities and environmental projects. The visitors were received by Corporate Communications Manager Mr. Zuhair Tawfiqi among other officials. Mr. Tawfiqi conveyed to them the greetings of Company President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, who is on a visit abroad. They were briefed on the Company's business philosophy and strategy as well as given a detailed explanation on the management methodology for operations, production and exports. GPIC’s main achievements in safety, quality, environmental conservation and community contributions were also reviewed.

   

The delegation had a tour of the Company and had breakfast at one of its several environmental facilities. They went around the other similar facilities that reflect the beautiful harmony between the industry and the environment.

In a statement, Dr. Jawahery said that GPIC was pleased to host the delegation and stressed the visit was an opportunity to inform Bahraini society of Bahrain’s development in the field of petrochemicals and fertilizers in which GPIC is considered a role model in Bahrain and around the region.

Dr. Jawahery praised the society’s contributions in serving the Bahraini community of the elderly and the retirees by providing them a place and the right environment to enjoy entertainment and educational programmes and to strengthen social cohesion.

The visiting delegation thanked GPIC officials for the welcome and the hospitality and expressed admiration for what he and the others had seen during the visit, including the advanced operations, factories and the latest equipment.

They also spoke about the activities and programmes of the Company outside the scope of its work as part of its responsibility towards the community, which leaves a positive impression on society.

They said they would convey their views to colleagues and their families at the society and speak about Bahrain’s huge potential in the industrial sector and its development that has made GPIC a successful example of co-operation between Gulf countries.
