Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) Managing Director H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Musaitir has honoured Company Technical Solutions Specialist Ms. Amina Adel Al Qaed, who has secured a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the French Aix Marseille University. She also received a certificate from the French National School of Management (ENA), one of the world's most prestigious public schools.

GPIC President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, members of the Executive Management and the Chairman of the Labour Union were present during the honouring ceremony.

The Managing Director congratulated Ms. Al Qaed for the high degree of excellence and said the Company provides all forms of support to all those who wish to complete their higher studies.

He noted Ms. Al Qaed’s efforts to obtain the degree and praised her commitment to combine work and, stressing that the Company was doing everything in its power to encourage employees to move forward in continuing education and obtaining academic specialization that would contribute to their gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their functions in a professional manner.

The Managing Director said the Board of Directors is proud of the large number of employees who have distinguished themselves by obtaining high degrees. He said these employees are the true wealth of the Company and stressed the management would continue to provide them full support.

He spoke of the excellence in performance shown by employees, which proves the integrity of the approach taken by the management in nurturing their energies.

Ms. Al Qaed thanked the Managing Director for his generosity and the Executive Management, headed by the Company President, Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, for his encouragement, support and follow-up during her studies.

GPIC is keen to support its human elements as its real wealth and looks at developing their skills by providing them opportunities for expertise, education and training. This allows employees to develop their knowledge and skills in order to prepare them to meet their job requirements and develop their technical and intellectual capabilities to meet the future needs of the Company.

Ms. Al Qaed joined the Company in 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Information Technology degree from Al Ahlia University, a professional certificate in Human Capital Management from the German software Company, SAP (HCM) and a Diploma in Human Resource Management, Education and Development from CIPD UK.

She is an active member of a number of committees, including the Sustainability Reporting Committee, in accordance with the principles of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

She is also an active contributer to INJAZ Bahrain programmes in various local schools and has participated in conferences and training courses within and outside Bahrain.
