Members of the Ladies Working Committee at the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) visited the Down Syndrome Care Center to share the joy of Eid with the elderly inmates.

   

In a statement, Company President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery thanked the Committee Chairperson and members for the humanitarian initiative, which, he said reflected a spirit of giving and love of others. 

   

He praised the efforts of Committee members for their several humanitarian initiatives and promised it all help, support and co-operation.

He said Company employees are always keen to extend a helping hand and assist all sections of society in the country. He said GPIC, under the direction of the Board of Directors, is keen to provide all forms of support for any charitable and humanitarian project benefitting the community.

Dr. Jawahery said the initiative contributes to repaying the community that has contributed to building Bahrain and made it prosperous. He said inmates at the centre deserve all the support.

Dr. Abdulkarim Al Mannai, Director of the Center, expressed his thanks and appreciation to GPIC, headed by Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery and the Committee for this gesture, which made the children and their parents very happy to participate in this joyous occasion and wished the Company all the success and prosperity.

It is worth mentioning that the Bahraini Down Syndrome Care Center seeks to develop the health, psychological and educational services for Down Syndrome children in cooperation with the concerned parties. The Center provides direct and indirect support for the Down Syndrome children along with their parents and families. In addition, the Center will clarify and highlight the true picture of Down Syndrome through various lectures. The Society is creating an information center to support and promote studies, research and services of interest related to the Down Syndrome category, and will t work towards overcoming the difficulties facing Down syndrome education and rehabilitation in cooperation with the concerned authorities.
