26 July 2018

Youngsters taking part in the Summer Camp organized by the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) distributed gifts to children at the Bahrain Defense Force Hospital.

Company President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery thanked the Chairman and members of the Social Activities Committee for the humanitarian initiative, which instilled in children a culture of volunteerism and the spirit of humanity while encouraging them to love others. He stressed the management is keen to establish human and moral values for employees’ children.

He said these activities motivated students to experience new and useful things and added the programmes would contribute to providing them enjoyable times away from daily stress and allow participants to make new friends and develop their social skills.

Dr. Jawahery called on parents to ensure that their children are included in the summer activities programmes organised by the Company because of its great benefits, most importantly contributing to building self-confidence through interacting with others, gaining experience and improving their respect for themselves and for others.

The Social Activities Committee has been organizing this activity for children of employees since 2005 to utilize the summer vacation fruitfully. It includes entertainment as well as leisure trips within Bahrain. The programme is highly sought after by the children who make use of the annual programme, aimed at developing their intellectual and cultural skills and to expand their knowledge in a safe environment that allows them to interact with their peers under the supervision of specialists.
