Representatives of the Labour Union Women's Committee of Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) visited The Al Noor Charity Welfare association to celebrate Eid Al Adha and share the joyous occasion with the children.

Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, GPIC President said that he was pleased at the community participation and initiatives of the company’s committees as well as their keenness to implement activities and programmes aimed at positive support. This also reflects the GPIC’s policy of social responsibility and it has created a list of priorities which has made its system as distinguished one.

Dr. Jawahery thanked the members of the committee for their efforts to communicate with those most in need of help and support during events and holidays. He expressed admiration for humanitarian initiatives and said the company is committed to supporting the society. He also spoke of the services provided by The Al Noor Charity Welfare association for the Bahraini society.

Dr. Jawahery stressed the need for companies and institutions to increase their community contribution and work on creating new patterns to develop positive interaction with society. He expressed the hope that the GPIC's leading role in the field of social responsibility would inspire other companies and individuals in the community to help and contribute. The community social responsibility is now a key business concept, especially in light of increasing awareness of social and humanitarian issues that affect the lives of ordinary citizens. He stressed social responsibility gives companies the opportunity to make more tangible contributions and initiatives that benefit the community.

H.E. Sheikha Lulwa Bint Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of Al Noor Charity Welfare association welcomed the initiative, while thanking and appreciating the support of Dr. Jawahery and all GPIC employees for their working towards community service and stressed the humanitarian gesture had provided an atmosphere of joy among children. She called on all companies and institutions to intensify their joint programmes with charities, especially those that direct their services to orphans with the aim of compensating the loss of loss of their parents.
