Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) Executive Vice President for Innovation and Business Development H.E. Mr. Uwaid bin Khalaf Al Harethi and Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) Board member H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Omar has congratulated Company Engineer Mr. Amer Ebrahim for obtaining two Specialised Certificates in Account and Project Management.


Mr. Al Harethi, who visited the Company headquarters to inspect the plants and facilities, was welcomed by GPIC President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery and members of the Executive Management.

Dr. Jawahery thanked H.E. Mr. Al Harethi for his initiative towards Mr. Amer saying the Company is of its employees and their high standards of professionalism. He said the Company is keen to provide all training opportunities within and outside Bahrain since this contributes to raising the level of employees and improving performance.

He said GPIC had always trusted its employees and their capabilities. He stressed on teamwork, motivation and confidence which, he added, was an integral part of a successful industrial enterprise.

Mr. Amer thanked H.E Mr. Al Harethi and H.E Mr. Al Omar and said the Board of Directors spared no effort in providing assistance to employees to overcome difficulties.

He said these certificates make employees even more committed and motivated to serve the Company with dedication.

Mr. Amer obtained a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certificate from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in the United States. It is an internationally recognized certificate for accountants and financial professionals and emphasizes the experience of the holder in financial planning, analysis, monitoring, decision support and professional ethics.

He also obtained the Certificate of Project Management Associate (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the United States, which is recognised certificate at the global level and is suitable for managers. This certificate confirms the eligibility of the holder to understand the basic knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project management.

In the past few years, GPIC has taken great strides in development and training in terms of quantity and content, in the belief that the pivotal role of education and training in supporting the development of the team and performance alike is necessary.
