A delegation from Oman’s University of Buraimi visited the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) Company. The visit came in cooperation with the National Institute for Industrial Training.


GPIC Corporate Communications Manager Mr. Zuhair Tawfiqi and other Company officials received the delegation and conveyed to them the greetings of Company President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery.
The guests were briefed on the Company's business philosophy, operational strategy and management methodology. The Company’s main achievements in safety, quality, environmental conservation and community contributions were also reviewed.


The Omani delegation toured the complex and looked at the smooth operations and manufacturing process of products exported to key international markets.
The delegation also visited the environmental projects that reflect the harmony between the industry and the environment, such as the charity fish farm, the bird sanctuary and Princess Sabeeka Garden for Aromatic Plants.

In a statement, Dr. Jawahery said that the Company was pleased to host the delegation and stressed the visit was an opportunity to inform students on development of Bahrain’s petrochemicals and fertilizer industry.


The members of the delegation thanked GPIC officials for the welcome and the hospitality and expressed admiration for the advanced operating procedures and plants, including the use of the latest equipment.
They also applauded GPIC’s commitment towards social responsibility towards the community, which leaves a positive and influential impression on society.



They said they would convey their impressions to colleagues and their families and speak about Bahrain’s potential in the industrial sector, which is witnessing massive development, making the Company stand out as an example of successful Gulf cooperation.
